Bon Jovi: Seen & Heard – August 2016

Bon Jovi Release “This House Is Not For Sale” Single, Album Cover & More

On August 12, 2016, acclaimed rock band, Bon Jovi released the lead single and title track off their 14th studio album “This House Is Not For Sale”.

With a trademark, Bon Jovi anthem feel, filled with catchy hooks, the song echoes the band’s past hits such as “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “It’s My Life.” The lyrics are heartfelt and touch on themes of standing by your principles and refusing to give up in the face of adversity.

Watch the making of the music video below:

The album is set for release on October 21, 2016 – and the band have been kind enough to unveil the album artwork (which can be seen at the end of the band’s video for the lead single) prior to the release. The black and white photo, by artist Jerry Uelsmann is a picture that has haunted Jon Bon Jovi for a while. It wouldn’t get out of his head. The artist had combined a picture of an old house, with strong roots. For Jon “this photo paints our picture – and so it became our album cover”, he says.

You can pre-order the upcoming album from Bon Jovi’s Official Store now. Don’t miss out on the Limited Edition signed CD bundle!

Slippery When Wet – The Sequel

Female fans fantasizing about joining Jon Bon Jovi in the shower were halfway there on the morning of August 11th, when the singer shared a clip of himself in the shower.

In the video, Jon’s “private” shower time is interrupted by his prankster brother, Anthony Bongiovi, who demands to know how many days are left before the band’s new single “This House is Not for Sale” drops – and then zeroes in on the New Jersey native as he emerges from the steam.

“Are you kidding me?” he asks before writing out the answer on the shower door. “One…more…day!”

The clip was shared on Bon Jovi’s social media pages as part of a fun countdown to the August 12th launch of the band’s latest single and video. The album will be released in partnership with Island/Universal Music Group on October 21, 2016.

  1. LOVE the new single, “This House is Not For Sale”! It has a very special meaning to me & made me shed a tear when I watched the video & heard the lyrics. You see, my mom died recently (June 3), after a short battle with lung cancer. I had lived with her all my life (53 years) in the same house. I get asked frequently if I am going to sell the house now that she’s gone & I say, “No, this house is not for sale!” I hope Jon knows just how special & profound it is that this song should come out now at this time in my life!
